Work overview

I strive to collect meaningful feedback from users and interpret that data into viable solutions to improve the experience as well as business outcomes. The following case studies demonstrate that way of thinking.

arizona state university’s digital enrollment guide

ASU has recently started partnering with companies like Starbucks to extend their online degree program as an education benefit to employees. They needed a customizable digital experience that would feel personalized & address the needs of prospective students while providing all the reporting milestones necessary to manage enrollment. This case study includes my contributions to the project as lead UX Designer.

Arizona State University’s Degree Audit experience

Arizona State University’s Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS) is a complicated, but important tool used by students to track their progress towards graduation. My team and I created an interactive video guide that explains how to interpret their audit and provide custom tips based on their primary academic goal and academic status. After exploring the guide, students felt they would be able to have a shorter & more productive meeting with their advisor.

Starbucks in-store immersion

I got into the shoes of Starbucks partners (employees) for a day to observe in-store communication channels, available technology, the overall pace and how partners spend their time, as well as understand their knowledge of the Starbucks College Achievement Plan and what they think about the resources available to them. Find out what I learned.

Grocery is an iPhone app that processes product pricing, sale and coupon data across 4 major stores allowing users to easily compare prices across thousands of products.  They needed a better way to display all the valuable price comparison data in a meaningful way to make users say "I can't shop without this".

GA UXDI: care.org responsive web redesign

Care.org is an international non profit organization working to save lives, defeat poverty and achieve social justice.  In this concept work, Care.org needed to find new ways to reach donors through mobile that wasn't already available on their website, incorporate social media, keep donors engaged and motivate repeat engagement.
